Essence of Boyar
We are also called Boya which means a hunter or warrior. In Andhra Pradesh, we are known as Naidus and similar to the Kapus in terms of social standing. We are a warrior class and believed to have originated from an ancient people called Kiratas. In fact, there are references to our caste in the Mahabharat.
